Stacey Evans studied in the Art Foundation Program at Virginia Commonwealth University;
she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She is a 2010 recipient of a Puffin Foundation grant for her TRAINSCAPES project.  In June 2010
her photographs from the train were part of a two-person exhibit Roads and Rails at the Page Bond
Gallery in Richmond, Virginia.  She lives and works as a photographer and educator in Charlottesville, VA.
As a professional photographer she works with small businesses, publications, and education
establishments. She teaches for the University of Virginia Art Museum, Piedmont Virginia Community College and St. Anne's-Belfield Middle School.  Her next scheduled train trip is from San Diego to Seattle,
the Pacific Surfliner and Coastal Starlight.
